SRMO Tax Department participated in the TMAP 2025 Tax Forum held on September 25, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Manila, hosted by the Tax Management Association of the Philippines (TMAP).
Held under the compelling theme, “The Evolving Landscape of Philippine Taxation: Reform Challenges and the Road Ahead,” the forum brought together key government officials, legal experts, and leading practitioners for a day of critical discussions on the latest developments in Philippine taxation.

Hon. Ma. Belen Ringpis-Liban, Associate Justice of the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), delivered the keynote, focusing on judicial reforms and recent updates on CTA and Supreme Court tax cases. Hon. Romeo Lumagui, Jr., Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), presented the government’s perspective on recent tax laws. Hon. Romeo Federico “Miro” S. Quimbo, Chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means, shared insights on the legislative road ahead for taxation.
Practitioners and industry leaders also engaged in a deep-dive discussion on the EOPT (Ease of Paying Taxes) Law, CREATE MORE, CMEPA, and VAT on Digital Services, including implementation issues and forward-looking suggestions.
