Siguion Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako Presented the 2025 M&A Outlook at the 2025 Asian Legal Business (ALB) In-House Legal Summit and Took Home the Managing Partner of the Year at the ALB Philippine Law Awards
As the Presenting Sponsor of the ALB In-House Legal Summit, Siguion Reyna, Montecillo & Ongsiako (SRMO) was privileged to contribute to the day’s discussions through two of its lawyers, Atty. Jocelyn Esguerra-Dee (Senior Partner) and Atty. Gregorio Bilog IV (Partner), who delivered insightful presentations on the 2025 M&A Outlook, specifically on Market Dynamics and Digital Transformation, respectively. Their participation reflects SRMO’s commitment to advancing legal best practices through dialogues with the in-house legal counsels of various Philippine companies.
That evening, attention turned to the ALB Philippines Law Awards 2025, where SRMO was honored to be named as finalist in multiple categories—recognizing the firm’s continued dedication to client service, legal innovation, and professional excellence. The firm was shortlisted for Arbitration Law Firm of the Year, Immigration Law Firm of the Year, Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year, Labor and Employment Law Firm of the Year, Litigation Law Firm of the Year, Regulatory and Compliance Law Firm of the Year, Tax and Trusts Law Firm of the Year, and Philippine Law Firm of the Year.
In addition to these firm nominations, several SRMO lawyers were recognized as finalists in the individual categories of Managing Partner of the Year for Atty. Cesar P. Manalaysay, Woman Lawyer of the Year (Law Firm) for Atty. Alma D. Fernandez-Mallonga, and Young Lawyer of the Year (Law Firm) for Atty. Gregorio R. Bilog IV.
Atty. Cesar P. Manalaysay was named Managing Partner of the Year, in recognition of his exceptional leadership, vision, and enduring contributions to SRMO’s growth, as well as to the broader legal community. On his behalf, the award was graciously accepted by Atty. Michael A. Mercado (Deputy Managing Partner) who, in his remarks, shared that SRMO will be celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2026—making the recognition for Atty. Manalaysay especially meaningful and timely.
