She joined the firm in 2013. In the Corporate practice, Ms. Orbeta-Nolasco has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments, and divestments in a broad range of industries. She also regularly advises clients on general corporate matters. Among her recent transactions, Ms. Orbeta-Nolasco handled the financing deal for a landmark P42 billion (US$771 million) acquisition of telecom towers by an international operator. As part of the Tax practice, Ms. Orbeta-Nolasco regularly advises clients on taxation of local and cross-border transactions and assists them in achieving tax-efficient international corporate and deal structures. She also handles tax controversies and has successfully represented clients in tax assessment protests, including a judicial protest of a P4.47 billion (US$82.3 million) internal revenue tax assessment.

Santos is a Partner of Siguion Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako Law Offices. His practice areas include Litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Appellate Practice, White Collar and Business related crimes, and Labor Law. Prior to joining the Firm in 2013, Atty. Santos worked at Quisumbing Torres Law Office under its Labor and Employment Department. From 2010 to 2013, he worked at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices or ACCRALAW practicing under its Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. Atty. Santos actively litigates criminal, civil and administrative cases before the trial courts, Sandiganbayan, Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, Department of Justice and other administrative tribunals and agencies. To name a few of the cases he handled, he counseled a leading telecommunications company in a leading case involving the interpretation of “Capital” under Section 11, Article XII of the 1987 Constitution on the foreign equity requirement in public utilities before the Supreme Court En Banc where he participated in two (2) oral arguments. He also participated in the public consultation hearings of the Securities and Exchange Commission and subsequently in the drafting of the SEC Rules/Memorandum Circular in enforcing the Decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Gamboa v. Teves et al. He acted as defense counsel for the top-tier officials of a leading international banking institution before the House of Representatives (Committee hearings), the regional trial court, and the Court of Appeals involving international and/or cross-border banking and investments in various forms of securities. Atty. Santos was admitted to the Bar in 2011. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2010 where he received the third best Thesis grade for his work “Motion in Limine Hearing: The Constitutional Right of the Accused to a Preliminary Hearing to Determine the Admissibility of Evidence prior to Trial”. He obtained his degree in Philosophy and Literature English from the same University in 2006. Atty. Santos likes to play football and basketball.
