Victor N. Alimurung
Victor N. Alimurung joined the firm in December 1971 and is now retired but serves as a consultant of the firm. His field of expertise is civil litigation, particularly in cases involving contracts, torts, banking, and medical malpractice.
He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Ateneo College of Law in 1968 and his Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School in 1970. After obtaining his LL.M degree, Mr. Alimurung worked with the law firm of Sterling and Kennedy in Beverly Hills, California, specializing in personal injury and tort cases.
Immediately after his stint at Sterling and Kennedy, he proceeded to become an esteemed member of the faculty of the Ateneo College of Law and has, since 1972 to date, taught courses dealing with the Law on Property, Law on Persons and Family Relations, Law on Sales, Legal Writing, Legal Forms, Introduction to Law, Statutory Construction and Law Drafting, Legal Bibliography, and Legal Ethics.
Mr. Alimurung serves as a Director and a Corporate Secretary of various business corporations. He is likewise active in various civic and non-profit organizations. He is a past president (2 terms) of the Rotary Club of Makati East (Philippines), a past president of the Ateneo Law Alumni Foundation, a past Chairman of the Law Foundation of Makati, Inc., a Barangay Kagawad in Dasmariñas Village, Makati (Philippines), and a treasurer in Dasmariñas Village, Makati (Philippines).
He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling to foreign countries with his family.
