Mr. Antonio C. Pido’s practice areas are labor law, civil and criminal litigation, and appellate practice in the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. He has extensive experience in labor law, telecommunications law, criminal, civil, and administrative litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.

He has participated in several major collective bargaining negotiations and deadlocks for Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. (1994 to 2000), San Miguel Corporation (1995), Malayan Insurance, Inc. (1995), Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (1995), Pilipino Telephone Corporation (1997 and 2000), Dole Philippines, Inc. (2003 and 2004), Hacienda Luisita (2004), Standard Chartered Bank (2005 to 2010), Sharp Philippines, Inc. (2008), Far Eastern University (2009), and ABC TV5 (2010).

Among the companies for which he handled labor disputes under compulsory arbitration, civil and criminal litigation are Malayan Insurance, Inc., San Miguel Corporation, Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc., Ginebra San Miguel, Inc., Cosmos Bottling Company, Pilipino Telephone Corporation, Smart Communications, Inc., Bayan Telecommunication, Inc., Goodyear Philippines, Inc., Diageo Philippines, Inc., Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank-EDP, Standard Chartered Bank, AB Systems, Inc., Unilever Philippines, Inc., Hyatt Regency Hotel, Hotel Intercontinental Manila, and New World Renaissance Hotel Manila, ABC TV5, DOLE Philippines, Inc., MERALCO and the Philsteel Group of Companies.

Mr. Pido has advised clients in their planning, preparation, and implementation of corporate down-sizing programs. He has also advised companies in the preparation, review or revision of human resources and personnel policies, as well as on company codes of discipline. He has lectured in a number of labor education seminars and assisted in the drafting of National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) rules and regulations.

He became an Executive Labor Arbiter of the NLRC from 1986 to 1991 and had a brief stint as a partner of Pido, Quimbo & Guades Law Office from 1991 to 1994 before returning to Siguion Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako as a partner on January 1994.

Mr. Pido graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1982 and was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather Honor Society. Also, he has been a member of Calbayog, Samar’s Doers Group for 15 years. The Doers Group organizes the annual city fiesta celebration for the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mr. Pido is involved in the sports of table tennis and basketball.
