Raegan L. Capuno

Profile

Raegan L. Capuno joined Siguion Reyna, Montecillo & Ongsiako in September 2016. He handles cases in taxation, corporate law and litigation. Mr. Capuno was admitted to the bar in June 2016 and was ranked 12th in the 2015 Bar by the Supreme Court.

In the field of taxation, he handles tax assessment and litigation cases both in the administrative level at the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the judicial level before the Court of Tax Appeals, claims for tax amnesty, application of tax treaty relief by foreign clients and settlement of estate. He also deals with queries of clients with regard to the tax and legal consequences of their business dealings in the Philippines. In the field of corporate and commercial law, he handles corporate rehabilitation, assists in Philippine Anti-Dummy Law cases and drafts and reviews commercial contracts, documents and service agreements.

Mr. Capuno is Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience and training in financial statement audit, including internal control reviews and PAS/PFRS compliance and agreed upon procedure engagements. He has a strong background in the academe as Registrar, Chair of Accountancy Program and professor of financial accounting, management accounting and services, taxation, auditing, and financial management since 2008. He was a former auditor at Isla Lipana & Co.

He is a faculty member at San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila College of Law teaching Taxation Law and at First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan, Batangas handling Business Laws. He is also a CPA reviewer and lecturer in Management Advisory Services, Taxation, and Regulatory Framework for Business Transactions and lecturer in Criminal Procedure for Criminologists Licensure Examination.

He is a member of Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Makati, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of CPAs in Education and Council of Deans and Educators in Business among others.

Mr. Capuno earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila and his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy as Class Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude from First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH).
